General

What do I need in order to run piiq?
All you need is a power plug and 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi! We send you everything else you need.

What are the dimensions?
The mirror itself measures 80 x 60 cm in portrait mode when assembled and can be wall-mounted or positioned anywhere with our stand that comes with it. The stand requires 22 x 56 cm for the base.

How is the mirror best positioned?

What if my Wi-Fi isn't very good?
piiq does need a good Wi-Fi connection to work at its best. Avoid 5 Ghz connections and choose your 2.4 Ghz one.

Not sure what qualifies as 'good wifi'?
Click here to do a speed test. Make sure you're connected to the Wi-Fi network you will be using piiq on. You'll want to have a reading of at least 15 Mbps, and ideally 100 Mbps, to run piiq efficiently.

How many mirrors do I need?
We recommend piiq at every station to see it work at its best, but it has been designed to be flexible so you can move your guests between stations and use it on multiple guests. Maybe start setting up one and see how you go.

What if I can only afford one? Will it work in my salon?
piiq works out to cost about $1 per guest if you use it on everyone. And if it increases your average ticket price with extra services and retail sales, then it more than pays for itself.

How heavy is it?
piiq weighs approximately 23 kilos. It will come in a box that is 90cm x 72cm x 21cm. Please keep the box.

Can I customize the size of the mirror to suit my salon?
piiq comes in any size and shape you want so long as it's 80cm x 60cm rectangular with rounded corners.

How do updates work?
Here at piiq we are constantly improving and adding new features. piiq will automatically download the latest version when updates become available, and it's all included in the cost of your subscription.

Does piiq push information back to my salon software?
We’re working on integrating with common salon software providers like Kitomba, Shortcuts and Timely. Send us an email to see if we can integrate with your provider.

Pricing

How much is it?
The full system including mirror and apps costs AUD $275 per mirror per month. We offer discounts for annual subscriptions, and also if you order more than 1 mirror. For more information, check out our pricing page.

What's included in the cost?
piiq is all-inclusive. It comes with all the hardware and software, and includes all updates as well as training and support.

If I buy more, do I get a discount?
Yes! Check out our pricing page for more information.

How long do I have to commit to?
piiq is charged on a monthly basis with a minimum 12-month commitment.

Do I have to pay upfront?
We will collect your payment details when you place your order, but you will not be charged until you receive your mirrors.

How often will I get billed?
This depends on your subscription! It can either be monthly or annual payments.

What form of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.

Can I try before I buy?
You can try piiq for yourself at your local brand’s Academy or showroom, or get in touch with us and we can arrange a demo for you.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Our minimum commitment period is 12 months. If you would like to cancel after the 12 months, text or give us a call.

Why have I been charged $1 when registering for piiq?
You may notice a $0 or $1 charge on your card after completing the registration process. This is a procedural check to confirm your card is active and valid

Setup & Installation

How do you set up piiq?
piiq can either be wall mounted or bench mounted. When you order piiq you will receive instructional guides and step-by-step tutorial videos on how to unbox and assemble piiq. Here you can find more tips & tricks to set up your mirror.

Does someone come to set up piiq?
We have designed piiq so that it is easy for you to put together yourself, and we send you step-by-step guides that you can follow.

Is it easy to put together?
Yes! piiq has been designed to be easy and quick to assemble. You will receive all the necessary training, including instructional guides and step-by-step tutorial videos so you can easily assemble piiq yourself.

Do I need to buy tools to put piiq together?
If you want to bench-mount your piiq Mirror, you do not need to buy tools in order to assemble piiq. piiq comes with everything you need. If you want to wall-mount piiq, the only thing you will need is a power drill and a spirit level. Both options come with simple step-by-step instructional videos to help you assemble and set up piiq.

Where does piiq go in my salon?
piiq can either be wall mounted or sit on a bench. You can have it at your workstations or set it up in a dedicated piiq area. The choice is yours! Here you can find more tips and tricks on this topic.

Does it come with warranty?
Your subscription covers all software and hardware support, updates, upgrades, and training. Don't worry - if something goes wrong with the hardware, we will fix it or replace it ASAP.


4 Delivery

How long does it take to get piiq shipped to me?
After an order is processed on our end (this normally takes 1-2 business days), it is then 3-4 business days until delivery for most metro areas and up to 5 working days for regional areas.

Can I pick a preferred delivery date/time?
If you want piiq delivered on a specific day, please add your request to the delivery notes section during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate every request!

Can I change my delivery date?

Does someone need to sign for it?

What if my delivery doesn't turn up?

Training & Support

What training is included?
piiq comes with a built-in training tool called the piiq Instant Business Booster Training. It takes you through each of the features of piiq with interactive training modules that you and your team can complete. piiq Academy is an included free feature that includes haircutting, styling and colouring tutorials from some of the world’s leading hair artists.

What support is offered?

How do I train my staff?
piiq comes with a built-in training system called IBB (click this link for a preview). It's a step-by-step, interactive training tool designed to give you and your team all the necessary knowledge you need to use piiq effectively in your salon with your clients. Your team can access the training anytime, anywhere, on any device, and they can re-do the training at any time. If you still want more help or if you have any questions, you can contact us and we will be happy to help.

What if something goes wrong?

What if I feel like I need more training?
IBB is the most detailed and comprehensive training available. But if for some reason you want more hands-on training, get in touch and we’ll arrange someone from your preferred brand that can help you out.

piiq Admin Portal

Can I customise what products to show on my mirror?
Yes! You can manage your products and control which ones show up on the piiq Mirror through the piiq Admin App.

Will piiq show all my products?
piiq is able to show all the products you stock from over 50 brands (see here for which brands are currently available). You can control which of these brands and which products show on the piiq Mirror through the piiq Admin. You can also switch and add products either in the mirror, the piiq Pro app or in the piiq Admin.

What if I need to change the products I stock?
You can manage your products through the piiq Admin. Here you can choose which brands and products show on the piiq Mirror.

Why do we need to use the piiq Admin?
The piiq Admin is your control centre for all things piiq. Here you can manage your log in details, edit your staff list, manage your products, and choose which products show on the piiq Mirror. Most importantly, this is where you receive and review product orders and rebook requests made by your guests.

What if I forget my log in details?

piiq App

Why do my clients have to download an app?
Your clients don’t have to download an app. It’s just nicer for them and for you if they do.

What if my guest doesn't want to download the app?
If they don’t want to download the app, simply select “Proceed without scanning” underneath the QR code. You can the go ahead and use the features, and when you want to save the client records, your client can use the QR code on the mirror (or in the tablet menu) to sign into the session. Then, piiq automatically knows who they are and will show you the content from their last visit when they come back next time. (And if they decide to get the app, their recommendations etc from this visit will be saved.

Can I access the content from the piiq experience without my guest scanning in?
Your clients visual records, hair condition, recommended products, celeb match, moodboards etc will all be saved to your piiq admin to access and add notes.

Data Security

Will my guest's info be protected?
Your salon and your guest's privacy and security is very important to us. All data is stored and encrypted on secure servers, and is GDPR compliant.
